Girls for Excellent Performance (GEP) has proudly established a mini library at Shankpallai Community School in Zota District, Bong County. This initiative marks an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to improving access to quality education and learning resources for students and teachers in underserved communities.

The mini library was created to provide a supportive and resourceful learning environment where both students and educators can access books and educational materials to enhance teaching and learning. For many students in rural communities, access to reading materials and reference books can be very limited. By setting up this library, GEP aims to bridge that gap and create opportunities for students to expand their knowledge, strengthen their academic skills, and develop a culture of reading. Teachers at Shankpallai Community School will also benefit greatly from the library, as it will support lesson planning, research, and classroom preparation. With access to additional learning materials, educators will be better equipped to deliver engaging lessons and support their students’ academic growth.

The mini library will also serve as a space where students can complete assignments, conduct research, and explore new ideas beyond the classroom. By encouraging reading and independent learning, the initiative helps build critical thinking skills and inspires students to pursue their educational goals with confidence. Girls for Excellent Performance extends its heartfelt appreciation to Friends of Liberia for generously funding this important project. Their support demonstrates a shared commitment to empowering young people through education and creating opportunities for communities to thrive.

Through partnerships like this, GEP continues to work toward its mission of empowering girls and promoting educational excellence. The establishment of the mini library represents a step forward in ensuring that students, especially girls, have access to the resources they need to succeed academically and become future leaders in their communities.

Together with our partners and community members, we remain dedicated to making education more accessible, inclusive, and impactful for the next generation.
