Girls for Excellent Performance (GEP) conducted a Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Awareness and Referral Pathway Workshop in Gbarnga City, Bong County. The workshop brought together community members and stakeholders to increase awareness about SGBV, strengthen prevention efforts, and improve understanding of the referral pathways available to survivors.
Through engaging and educative sessions, participants were equipped with essential knowledge on identifying cases of SGBV, supporting survivors, and connecting them with the appropriate services and institutions. The training also emphasized the importance of community involvement in preventing gender-based violence and promoting safe spaces for women and girls.
The workshop was successfully facilitated with the support of the GEP Bong County Branch and dedicated facilitators who led interactive discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.
This initiative forms part of GEP’s ongoing commitment to empowering communities, protecting vulnerable individuals, and strengthening systems that ensure survivors of sexual and gender-based violence receive the support and justice they deserve.
