Over the past six months, Girls for Excellent Performance (GEP) has made meaningful progress in supporting survivors of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) through empowerment and capacity-building initiatives. During this period, the organization was able to provide support and training opportunities to 37 survivors, with 17 participants successfully completing and graduating from the program.
The journey over the last six months has been both challenging and rewarding. Despite the obstacles faced along the way, the dedication and commitment of the GEP team made it possible to successfully implement the initiative and deliver life-changing opportunities to survivors. Through skills training, mentorship, and support programs, GEP continues to help survivors rebuild confidence, regain independence, and work toward sustainable livelihoods.
This achievement would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of the organization’s hardworking team members, including Bless Sarmie, Marthalyn Anointed Jennueh, and Success Sulonkolo, whose dedication and passion played a vital role in the smooth execution of the program.
Girls for Excellent Performance also extends its heartfelt gratitude to The Fund for Global Human Rights and YOCEL for their invaluable moral and financial support. Their partnership continues to strengthen GEP’s ability to implement impactful programs that empower vulnerable individuals and communities.
As part of its ongoing efforts to sustain and expand these initiatives, GEP encourages individuals and organizations to support the program by purchasing items produced through the project. Proceeds from these sales directly contribute to empowering more survivors of SGBV by providing them with opportunities for skills development, economic independence, and a renewed sense of hope.
Girls for Excellent Performance remains committed to creating safe spaces, restoring dignity, and empowering survivors to build brighter and more independent futures.
